"Dear Brothers in the Lord, "I have the honor and pleasure to write to you and hope that this letter will meet you in good health. "We are bent on every effort to reach the unreached with the message of the Lord. We have also offered ourselves to take care of the orphans and the most destitute and we are hereby humbly appealing for your kind assistance in whatever way possible. These children are God's creatures and some of these children who are going to school are victims of the Lake Nyos gas disaster. These children need clothing, text books, and food to enable them to study and forget the sad event that happened to their parents. Anyone that cares enough to share this burden, which is natural, shall receive the blessings of God. For on the last day, Jesus will say to many that never showed an interest in helping God's little ones, 'I was naked, and hungry, and you never helped me, and as you have done it not unto the least of one of these children, you have not done it for Me.' "My beloved friends, the field is wide but the laborers are few, and we are praying that the Lord of the harvest will send more laborers into the harvest. "We took up the challenge to care for the orphans, knowing that it is not easy but as long as we believe in God and we know that there are thousands of believers around the world who will not cover their eyes over the miserable ones, we took the challenge. We shall be very grateful to anyone who will accept to care for one orphan. They need shoes, dresses, bedding, books, and a shelter. We highly need your help! We also need your newsletters and useful tracts for free distribution. May the Lord Almighty guie you in all that you do for His glory. "May His rich blessings abide with you." By God's grace, and through the faithful support of dedicated workers for Christ, His Marvelous Light Ministries was able to send these young orphans a shipment of clothing and shoes, along with some Bibles, witnessing booklets, and tracts to distribute among the local people. The following is a reply from that shipment: "Dear Beloved Friends in the Lord's Vineyard, "I have the great honor and much joy to write and inform you that I have received the seven boxes which contained Bibles, booklets, and children's clothing and shoes! We are VERY much grateful about it, and we lack words enough to express our deep appreciation for it. This gesture of yours shall be of a great help to us and the children, and the burden will be lessened! The boxes arrived here safely! Our Almighty God will certainly bless your ministry in a tremendous way. "We are receiving tremendous reports from the field on how hundreds of people are turning to Christ daily. The Bible instructs us to go into all the world, and preach the gospel. Thank you for your kindness and sacrifice. Your reward will come from the Lord!" There are MANY more requests just like this, though, that due to low funds, we have been UNABLE TO FILL!
